Dr. Spiker Davis co-founded Cosmetic Dental Associates in
Houston, Texas with Dr. Scott Coleman in 1984. Since then,
Drs. Davis and Coleman have strived to provide their patients
the highest level of care possible. Both dentists are accredited
members of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. There
are only about 225 dentists in the world who have earned this
distinction, and two of them are right here in our office!
In addition, our cosmetic dentists have been advisers to several
dental manufacturing companies.
Cosmetic Dentist - Spiker Davis,
D.D.S, F.A.G.D., M.A.G.D.
 Dr.
Spiker Davis earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University
of Texas at Houston in 1974, and went on to receive advanced
elective training in reconstructive dentistry and general
anesthesia at the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental
Education. The L.D. Pankey Institute is recognized as one
of the world’s most prestigious centers for advanced
dental education.
Dr. Davis is one of about 225 dentists worldwide
accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In addition, he is a member of the American Dental Association,
Texas Dental Association, and Houston District Dental Society.
He has also achieved fellowship and mastership in the Academy
of General Dentistry, an honor that reflects Dr. Davis’s
commitment to provide superior care through continued education.There
are only 8 Masters of the Academy of General Dentistry that
are also Accredited Members in the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
in the world. Additionally, Dr. Davis is a member and past
vice president of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, member and
past treasurer of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and past president
and master of the Houston Chapter of the Academy of General
Dentistry.
Dr. Davis shares his extensive dentistry
knowledge as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas
Dental School and by lecturing internationally on cosmetic
dentistry techniques and technology. While not in the office,
Dr. Davis has served his community by being a deacon and past
Sunday school teacher at the Second Baptist Church. He is
also a member of the president’s council at Houston
Baptist University and is an area committee past co-chairman
for Younglife at Kinkaid and Lee High Schools.
Dr. Davis is happily married to Betty Davis
a native Houstonian. Together they have 3 daughters and 5
grandchildren. Betty is a licensed real estate Agent for Keller
Williams Realty and together they custom build homes and invest
in real estate. In their spare time, they enjoy snow skiing,
roller blading, dancing, hunting, fishing, and exercise of
all types.

Cosmetic Dentist - Dr. Scott Coleman, D.D.S, F.A.G.D., M.A.G.D., F.A.D.F.E., M.A.G.D.
 Dr.
Scott Coleman graduated Cum Laude from Stephen F. Austin State
University in 1980 with a major in biology and a minor in
chemistry. He went on to graduate first in his class at the
University of Texas at Houston in 1984 to earn his Doctor
of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Coleman has been the recipient of several
awards that are a testament to his excellence in dental care,
including the Walter G. Sterling Award for academic excellence
at the University of Texas Health Center of Houston, the A.O.
Beck Award for outstanding prosthodontics, and the Professional
Award from the American College of Dentists.

When Dr. Coleman is not treating patients,

He earned his Eagle Scout rank in 1972 and is currently the
committee chairman for Troop 13 Boy Scouts of America. Additionally,
Dr. Coleman serves on the board of directors for the Sam Houston
Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the largest Boy
Scout Council in America.
Dr. Coleman is an avid upland bird hunter, a licensed pilot and
scuba diver, and is a 3rd degree black belt in Hapkido and
a 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

and The Buzz. In addition, our cosmetic dentists gained national
exposure when they were seen on CNN with Jeanie Mose. They

Our cosmetic dentists were the official
dentists for the Miss Texas USA pageant for 15 years. Many
Miss USA winners and one Miss Universe winner have entrusted

smiles are a major asset to their careers, have chosen Drs.
Coleman and Davis as their personal dentists.
Drs. Coleman and Davis have also shown their
artistic and creative sides by working with several theatrical
companies as consultants. They have been consultants for the
Tony-Award winning Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas since
1990, designing and making props to help actors get into character.
Some of their work has gone on tour and is currently on Broadway
in New York (“Jekyll and Hyde”). By creating a
broad range of looks, the dentists are able to explore the
boundaries of all kinds of smiles, making it easier to create
beautiful looks for all of their cosmetic dentistry patients.

Technology
Our office boasts all the latest in high-tech
dental equipment. We are one of the few offices in the world
that has its own in-house dental ceramic laboratory with two
full-time technicians. Having our own laboratory allows us
to make thin porcelain veneers that are natural and beautiful,
which means little or no grinding (and no shots) during your
procedure! Our cosmetic dentists also utilize laser-scans
to find any decay or weak spots before they cause a serious
problem.

Cosmetic Imaging
Our cosmetic dentists have been using cosmetic
imaging in-house since 1986 and garnered national attention
when Jeanie Moos featured it on CNN. Cosmetic imaging is an
advanced technology designed to create a new smile, or a whole
new look, before a cosmetic procedure even begins.
Cosmetic imaging allows you to see what
you might look like with a different smile. It consists of
a computer, a monitor, and a graphics pad the dentist uses
to “draw” your new smile. Our cosmetic dentists
understand that everyone is different, so every patient is
allowed the opportunity to design his or her own “smile
personality” before deciding on the appropriate procedure.
During computer imaging, our cosmetic dentist takes a photo
of you and your smile and loads it into the special software.
A picture of your smile is brought up on the screen, and the
dentist fashions the look you desire on the monitor. If you
don't know exactly what you want, the cosmetic dentist will
create several different looks for you to “try on”
so you can decide which one you like best.
Computer imaging is also an excellent tool
for EXTREME MAKEOVERS because
it can modify other features of your face, including reducing
the size of your nose or erasing wrinkles. Most of the plastic
surgeons our dentists work along side use this technology.
